Hired through Project Y | On behalf of an International B2B Technology Company

Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town (on-site, full-time)
Compensation: R25,000 – R60,000 per month OTE

About the Opportunity

Project Y is recruiting a Junior Sales Development Representative (SDR) on behalf of an international UK/EU-based company that supports enterprise technology firms with market expansion and demand generation.

In this role, you will work with well-established global technology companies and gain hands-on experience in B2B outbound sales, pipeline generation, and enterprise prospecting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in professional tech sales within a structured, performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Junior SDR, you will support business growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers at enterprise-level organizations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and identifying prospective clients across target industries

  • Conducting outbound prospecting via cold calls, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Qualifying leads based on defined criteria and sales processes

  • Booking qualified meetings for Account Executives

  • Maintaining accurate activity and pipeline records within the CRM system

  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategies

  • Developing a strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions and B2B sales methodologies

Job requirements

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role

  • At least 1 year of experience in a B2B Sales Development or similar outbound sales role

  • Demonstrated experience booking qualified meetings or sales opportunities

  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with professionals

  • Organized, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with performance targets

  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms

  • Proficiency using LinkedIn for professional outreach

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and able to work on-site full-time
