Job description

Hired through Project Y on behalf of a frontier industrial-tech company

Location: Remote (South Africa-based)
Salary: R28,000 - R50,000 per month
Employment type: Full-time

About the company

Project Y is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing European industrial-tech company that is redefining how global supply chains forecast, plan, and make decisions. Their product turns complex data into actionable intelligence with multi-million-euro impact, and your work will help communicate that value to industrial customers across Europe.

About the role

We are looking for a creative, detail-obsessed, and experiment-driven Graphic Designer who can make complex concepts simple, visual, and compelling. You’ll support commercial, product, and data teams by designing high-quality customer-facing materials that clearly explain forecasting models, insights, and product value.

This role is ideal for someone who loves visual storytelling, thrives in fast-moving environments, has a very good analysis/statistic understanding but also has a good content brain and wants to build the visual communication foundation of a frontier B2B tech company. You do not need a traditional design background — we welcome driven, self-taught designers and career switchers.

What You Will Do

  • Design high-quality presentations for sales meetings, demos, and customer workshops

  • Create one-pagers, case studies, and visual explainers for product and commercial teams

  • Produce LinkedIn and digital marketing visuals that support inbound and outbound campaigns

  • Translate technical content (forecasts, insights, scenario models) into intuitive, visually engaging formats

  • Maintain and evolve a consistent visual identity across all customer-facing materials

  • Collaborate with commercial, data, and product teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of visuals

  • Experiment with new storytelling formats, layouts, and visual styles

  • Support strategic sales opportunities with tailored visual narratives for key accounts

Job requirements

Must-Haves

  • Strong design fundamentals (layout, typography, hierarchy, color, structure)

  • Experience with presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Figma, or similar)

  • Ability to turn data, insights, and technical content into clear visual explanations

  • High attention to detail and a clean, modern aesthetic

  • Curiosity about forecasts, supply chain complexity, and industrial systems

  • Comfort working in fast-moving, iterative environments

  • Strong sense of visual storytelling and communication

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience designing for B2B, technical, or industrial audiences

  • Familiarity with data visualization (charts, flows, infographics)

  • Interest in supply chain, manufacturing, forecasting, or analytics (not required)

  • Motion design or short-form video editing skills

  • Previous experience creating LinkedIn or social media visuals

  • “Outlier profile” welcome,  career switchers, self-taught designers, or highly driven generalists

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Help build the visual foundation of a cutting-edge product shaping the future of industrial supply chains

  • Work closely with a highly skilled, international team

  • High autonomy, rapid learning, and the chance to shape materials used with enterprise customers across Europe

  • Be part of a frontier technology company solving real-world industrial challenges
